Hi Guys. I was recently given this Automatic Transmission Service Manual. I'd be happy to scan and post it here , or email it someone to use. Keep in mind that it is 56 pages long and would take a while for me to do. I dont think there would be a copyright problem as the only date i can find in it is 1966. Cheers Shrapnel

You've done really well to have been given that. They fetch £50+ on ebay! It would be really useful to have a copy of the manual. 'notamini' on here also has that manual and has been given permission to scan it, he's planning to do one or two others too. Perhaops you two could make contact and work together? I would love to help scan but sadly do not have the manual. I could help create and distribute CDs or stick them in a corner on my web site if it helps. Paul

It sure has. The guy who sent it to me , Sent me another message yesterday to say he has more books to send me. Here's the funny thing. After a few months of searching various sites here in NZ for an engine and auto , I put a Wanted Add on a HotRod forum I belong to (hot rodding is my long term passion , , , 25+years, , , and where my nickname comes from) and within a week I had an offer of the block and crank that now resides in my garage. Last week got a contact number for a late model motor and auto which is sold. Then another member of hotrod forum has been the one with the manuals. And yes , , , got my fair amount of stick about owning a mini , , , usually followed up with "I didn't know there was a mini auto , that'd be cool " . hehehe Shrapnel

That is not one of the manuals I have. But it sure looks great!! Depending on final file size, I hope to place all three of mine on CD for distribution. Shrapnel, if you can do the same, we can help each other distribute them. My son knows how to upload/download large files. We can swap scans, burn our own Cd's and then mail more locally. Sound good? I have two (2) Cd's now for my 1100/1300 series. One is for mechanicals and the other for bodywork. They cover all parts from 1963 to 1972 and for MkI/MkII/MkIII Austin/Austin America/Morris/Riley/MG/Vanden Plas Princess/Wolseley. They also cover 2-door/4-door/Traveller/Countryman. Not that any of you would own one of these big vehicles ;D but forum members are welcome to ask for copies.

Hi Notamini. Yeah I'd be happy to email you the files once I'm done. I'm on page 20 and probably wont get to it again tell early next week. Once I have them scanned, then I'll start the slow process of emailing them through. They're quite big files (I think ) and I dont know anything about down sizing the file OR burning them to cd Sorry for slow reply etc , but we got things going on in all directions here at the moment (mostly to do with the mini) but ALL shall be posted here on another thread hopefully by end of next week , , , its bigger than a big thing Cheers Shrapnel

Hello all
I am interested in any information I can find on the rebuild process for my 1980 mini 1000 automatic. I can convert scans to PDF files that are searchable and much smaller than image files if that is helpful for those of you with scan files. Please let me know what is available and if I can be of help.
Thanks
Minimarc

Hi Guys , Sorry for slow reply's , but there's so much going on around home at the moment (including trying to get the mini sorted) that I've not had much chance to get on here. I have scanned the manual . And I will try and get it emailed in the next week. Thanks for your patience Shrapnel

I have a complete mini manual covers from 59 to 76. There are 47 pages in it for the auto trans. The entire PDF file is 57,434Kb but that's the whole 404 pages. How does one extract just 47 and still make a PDF?

I can download the file, but Adobe Reader 9 can't make any sense of it. I have a complete mini manual covers from 59 to 76. There are 47 pages in it for the auto trans. The entire PDF file is 57,434Kb but that's the whole 404 pages. How does one extract just 47 and still make a PDF? I use a free program called PrimoPDF (www.primopdf.com) to create PDF files. Basically it installs a dummy printer on your computer; you select the printer like you would any other but instead of printing the output it creates a PDF file. It's a great piece of software because it will work from any program that has a print function. You could load your large PDF into Acrobat Reader (or some other PDF reader) then 'print' the 44 pages using PrimoPDF to create a new PDF file. It does work - I just tried it. Hope this helps, Paul.

Same issue - can download but not read it, with any of a range of PDF readers (Serif PagePlus will read and edit PDF files btw).
Anyway, I realised as I was doing it that I already have that manual, and the 76-89 Rover one as well - I thought the source was originally from here but I can't find it. If anyone wants copies, PM me and I'll sort out a means of sending them.

Now that is a useful page! Some of those wiring diagrams I've been looking for. The download from there does work; it's the old-style factory workshop manual, but my copy doesn't have those pages, so thanks again.
