Some information relating to the Foulis holy grail book! I tried contacting Haynes Museum thinking that perhaps in their library they may have a copy that could be viewed but no see reply:-
Thanks for your email.
In it you referred to the Haynes Publishing takeover of the Fouil’s list of publications. The museum is a completely separate entity to the publishing group, and while we hold a significant number of books in our library, they do not necessarily include all of the titles that the publishing group have produced over the years. The exceptions are the Haynes manuals themselves as two copies of every new title are automatically added to the library collection.
With regard to the specific title you were looking for, I’m afraid we do not hold a copy.
Kind regards
OK so lets try Haynes publishing their response :-
Thanks for your e-mail, I have spoken with our Technical Services Editor and he has sent me the enclosed response to your query, I am sorry that we can’t be any further help at this time.
We purchased G T Foulis in 1973 and discontinued the range in the early 1980’s. During the various moves the library has been downsized and we no longer have any of these titles. You may find a second-hand copy on the internet.
Regards.
I have also tried some UK library's with on line access and so far no success. So it looks like pay up the asking price unless someone on this forum can 'lend ' a copy out . Dissapointing.

Most interesting book. It does appear to be rather lengthy but the excerpts on the link are intriguing. Have you ever found it in print?

No.
I cant even remember how I found the link . I was going through all my 'Mini' Bookmarks today clearing them out as mine is completely rebuilt and I dont need all the links to Paint upholstery or rust-prevention any more and found the link, I thought it would be worth others knowing about it.

Can someone, please, share these documents from 2012? I'm particularly interested in the Automatic Gearbox from 1991 (998cc).
