Well gentlemen, I have a seal. I reshaped the cup, shaped a large washer to cover the end of the filter cup, and placed a rubber washer between the large metal washer and the cup. Then I tightened it up snug. Started the car and voila! No more oil spray. Checked the bolt again and snugged it up once more. I have now driven around town successfully. I'm not closing out this thread just yet, but I am pleased to announce that I am currently functional. Thank you to Jock and all who offered tips and advice. And if anyone of you have an extra filter cup lying around, I'm interested in purchasing it.

Ok so only a year or so late.... (just seen this one) Reverse can be as high as 175psi or so, your oil pressure has little to do with this issue, I would look at the canister end to see if a) the small end is "domed inwards" and b) the large seal face is clean and fault free.
A little on clutches....
the total torque load is determined by the following:-
1) Mean radius of friction material. 2) number of friction surfaces. 3) Clamping pressure. 4) Coefficient of friction between surfaces.
So changing any of these values will affect the way the clutch works.

You are missing the cup washer that the small O ring fits into, the end of your canister is damaged thus making a good seal is not going to be easy if at all possible.
Anyone who wants the cup washer for the filter I have a small reserve that I would be happy to part with to those in need.
