The front clip I bought was in theory a 1994 SPI with automatic. It came (for customs) with the engine separate, and the subframe separate. The body had a clutch pedal, so obviously they weren't from the same car.
Is there any difference in subframes? I see mixed comments. I planned on putting the engine in on Monday.
Also, what differences are there in the motor mounts? I have a wavy one. The MiniSport catalog shows a flat one for at least one end of the engine.

If your trying to fit a auto engine and gearbox into a manual sub frame it won't fit, however if its the other way around this can be done but you need to buy some spacers. Engine mounts I'm not to sure but engine mount on engine side is the same but gearbox side mount is different.

The subframe for an auto is wider and deeper. This is to accommodate the larger size of the auto gearbox. The engine mounts are also different. One is a larger squarish block - the rad end mount looks similar but I think is actually wider in one dimension. They are also more costly Emma

The rad or "front of engine end" is similar to a manual mount, however the holes are not in the same position or alignment to a manual and it is a fair bit thicker too.
