Hi there,
A quick introduction – proud owner of a BMC Leyland Mini 1000 from 1977/78.
It was first registered in Belgium in January 78.
83500 km.
It was built in Seneffe, the Belgian facility of BMC Leyland.
I love my automatic gearbox !
I know it from inside-out since I completely disassembled it, bought a kit at JPAT with new discs etc…and reassembled it !
It works brilliantly…except for one minor detail…but I will come back on that in the forum
The other thing is I’m big fan of keeping the Mini’s as original as possible !
Except for a minor wheel trim detail, that I’m still investigating, all should be OK on mine
Concerning the wheel trim…it’s hard to tell, because it’s rather known that when the Belgian plant was out of stock for some parts…they didn’t hesitate to swap references
Anyway…glad to have found this register…weird I didn’t find it earlier since I have my car since 2004 or so…
Back then I was also thinking of setting up a dedicated website/forum !
Well done…
