Hi, does anyone know if it is necessary/worth while adding an in-line fuel filter to an early type carb mini? As far as I can see there isn`t one (except the gauze over the fuel pick up in the tank). If so where is the best place to put it? Cheers Mike.

Probably not ....... but if you want to add a filter, it's easy to put an little inline jobby in the fuel line under the bonnet.

I strongly recommend it. You can keep an eye on the colour and flow. This way, you can tell the condition of your petrol tank and your electric pump flow. I have a clear inline one just inches from the carb mounted on the fire wall. Mark

Cheers guys, sorry what`s a fire wall?? Did wonder how the clear plastic in-line filters would cope so close to the exhaust manifold? Mike

Firewall = bulkhead. If you use maybe a terry clip, you can 'pin' it back just above the cross member
