After having had several Mini's in the past fifty years, I chose this time for something else; a Mini Matic. I'm anxious to find out how the engineers at AP figured out their automatic transmission. How it works. I suppose that -after thirty, forty years- there will be a lot of dirt and mud in the insides of the labyrinth. How good the filter in the induction may be and how well the oil filter will work, in the long run there will be a lot of fine dust en fine coal at the bottom of the case. Besides my '78 Mini I bought an aggregate of a Innocenti '69, block and box together that I'm splitting now so I can delve myself in the inners of the box. When I've found out everything I think I'll dare to open up the various lids of the case of my '78 Mini Matic Box and clean it up. Perhaps attend to the clutches and other things you reed about on your magnificent forum. Am I glad that I found this forum! I try to follow the footsteps of 'Stu'.
