Hi, need to replace HT leads and was wondering what people recommend, was thinking of going for a set of copper core leads but wondered if they are worth the extra money?

I like standard copper with a good insulator. However I found out recently that my partner has been running carbon for 15 trouble free years. Just make sure you insulator is in good order.

Thanks, I find the carbon ones only last a year or two before giving trouble so will give the copper ones a try!

If you install solid core wires, you need to include resistive caps or plugs. Otherwise, your radio or even your neighbour's radio will suffer major interferances. I prefer solid core. They are great in rainy weather!

Wow, you`ve certainly had your moneys worth out of them! I have gone for the 7mm Magnecor ones as they are copper core but with built in noise suppression. Hopefully they will do the job! Cheers all.

As a foot note, your unsuppressed leads will interfere with any radio you pass, ie police and other emergency services ! As this is classified as radio transmission you would require a licence to operate.... can you see where this is going ?
You would be right that if you got picked up by the authorities they could throw the book at you as piracy is a very serious offence.

Thanks, as mentioned I have gone for the Magnecor ones and they seem fine with no interference. That said no real difference in performance but look nice and should last forever. (Should do at the price...!)
