Has anyone here ever pulled apart a Mini Torque converter? If so, what tips can you offer or details of it. The manuals I have just explain how it works, which I already know in general.
I replaced my entire clutch pack and cover (see other posts). The drive shafts move when I twist the clutch pack, but now that it is all assembled and in the pickup, with the engine running, no gear moves the wheels, just creates foam on the dipstick and eventually blows it out the well sealed filter housing.

May be that the oil pump is sucking just air. Try and prime it first. Undo the tube coming from the filter foot and going into the engine block above the starter motor. Poor engine oil into the holes that came free by undoing the tube until no more oil will get in. When you turn over the crankshaft once or twice the oil pump is running too, so that more oil may get in. Connect the tube and try running the engine again. Now there is oil in the pump house it will be aesier to suck up oil from the bottom of the gaar box and press it into the engine block. As soon as there is oil feed into the torque converter it will produce drive instead of foam. Let us know the result of your trials.

Without specialist equipment stripping a torque converter becomes almost impossible.
