Bought this car for $1100 and love the sh8t out of it. I'm in Japan, so I figure its Japanese built. It is a Tartan edition. I hope I got a decent deal because I inherited no reverse and a whining fuel pump.
Fuel pump should be a easy fix, just trying to figure out how to do it cost effectively. I believe the "band" is out for reverse, but I don't know what that entails. The shifter is sloppy. I'm hoping its something simple, hopes are low.
Thanks for having me. I'm excited to learn more about these cars and fix the one I have.
Cheers,
Billy

Might be just a cable adjustment. Especially if something is loose. Make sure you run the right oil.

I hear ya on the oil. Oil change coming soon, as soon as I can find a filter. Trying to track down pubs to see what I can do before dropping the entire transmission.

Hi, this is what a burnt out top & reverse clutch pack looks like. Worse possible scenario. Do cable check first. I think all Jap mini,s were uk built for export. Good luck and welcome to the club.
