I have just purchased some standard Rover mini seats for Molly and they were a little dirty and had a few oil stains so I tried to clean them with normal upholstery cleaner but to no avail although the seats were cleaner, it didn't touch the oil.
So what did I do? I rang my Dad who's an upholster and asked him what the best thing is to use he said I'll bring you some stuff that we use from work.
Anyway he turns up with a bottle of Autoglym Tar Remover so I followed the instructions and the oil disappeared before my eyes, the only problem then was it was the cleanest part of the seat so I thought I'd go over the whole seat with the Autoglym and now they look brand new. I only used a little bit as that's all you need.
So my handy hint for cleaning your velour seats is get a bottle of Autoglym Tar Remover, it might sound expensive but you don't need alot and it will last ages.

That's an excellent tip. I'm going to give it a go on my cloth seats today! Thank you!

I also find that a product called "Minute Clean" works well at cleaning stains, I think its a Turtlewax product and comes in a spray bottle. I use it all the time to bring up the Mats in my Minis, and I REALLY need it as 2 of my Minis have pale pink mats which is a total pain as they get dirty sooo quickly
