HELP !!!!
I have a 1987 Austin Mini City E auto. All of a sudden it decided to violently judder when pulling away from a junction I take my foot of the accelerator and apply it slowly it judders only slightly and then pulls away also if I use the kick down it sometimes judders again but really only very slightly.
Been told many things including engine steadies and mounts need replacing also change the oil done plus filter for new good quality 20/50 oil on advise from Minispares also going to try the ignition coil as well.
Please if anyone can help that'd be great.

They told you the wrong oil. Use 10w40 mineral oil or a MA2 motorcycle oil. Is there any kind of squealing sound as well? Does it take a little bit of time to go into drive from neutral?
Mine was doing exactly what you describe as well as delayed engagement and squealing. I drove it that way for a while and think I did some damage. I changed to Lucas motorcycle 10w40 oil and it started shifting smooth as butter in a short time. Not to mention the oil stayed much cleaner. It still has the delayed engagement but I'm pulling that motor as it's worn out and I have another supposedly good one to put in.

Still you should have a look at your engine steadies and mounts. If the engine sakes a lot when pulling away you should replace the rubbers. Take the bonnet off to have a good look at your engine and pull away and drive a while. When the rubbers are gone you will be asured by the sight of the jumping engine.

Tarija and Santa Cruz, Bolivia
Definitely put the right oil in it. Motorcycle MA2 spec oil, 10W-40 viscosity. The MA2 means it meets dynamic friction tests for the clutches. Viscosity 10W-40 can be displaced better from the clutch surfaces and pumps much better through out the engine and trans. This is what I run, with normal oil pressure at 42 psi on the road.
