1996 13iSPI. The dreaded slip from 3 - 4. I assume this to be an international forum, so, who is recommended in New Zealand for gearbox repair? Workshops I have spoken with have no concept of the AP Gearbox. Thanks in anticipation.

Yes it is an international forum, I am not aware of an AP2 specialist in New Zealand, I haven't sent Trade parts there for years.

Why not try first things first? What engine oil did you use last time? 10W40 is the one you should. Are you sure you check the engine oil level in the right way. There is quite a 'prosedure' to follow. If not there could be too little oil in the system. Many people switch to engine oil ment for motorbikes with 'wet clutches' to avoid the problems you discribe. You can read everything about that on these pages.
