After finishing the "Phoenix", I was looking round for another project. Whilst on holiday in Samos, a small Greek island, We came across this car. the interior was shot but the body looked sound. What an Ideal project I thought. It was only when we got back home Istarted to think a bit more about it. I found out it was a 1950's Opel Rekord. It's nickname is the "Shark Jaw" Opel for obvious reasons. I delved a bit deeper and found I could get it from Athens to Southampton without too much bother and the cost would be around £500. The problem was getting it from Samos to Athens and also I had no idea who actually owned it. Restored it would have been worth about £10k and funnily although not a lot were produced spares are still available. It never happened as I was persuaded to start another mini. that's when I got the Greenie and lost my senses. Here are couple of pictures of the Opel in Samos Just thought I'd share it with you all

I'm starting to think about it again. I now remember where it was but can't find an email contact there. May have to contact the Greek tourism office.
