Hi everyone, my name's Chris and I'm a Mini addict - currently seven in the household!
The auto among the bunch is my 1967 Riley Elf, currently SORNed as I need to find time to fit a new rear subby and some general all-over TLC.
The current autobox is the third since I've owned the car, and is from a 1987 car - I like my autos generally but this box is so fragile that putting one in another Mini will mean an engine conversion, perhaps a K series. That's the plan for my estate anyway!

Hiya asahartz Welcome to the forum, glad to have you here and you sound like a person with alot of experience owning 7 of our beloved minis and a lovely riley elf. Looking forward to hearing about them and some pics would be great but if you can, would you upload them to somewhere like Photobucket etc.
Hope to see you around

Hiya I have just created a new board called Show us yours in the Mini Chat section where you are welcome to post your pics in there. It was a great suggestion, thank you!! If you do this I'll delete the ones below.

I've got a couple of project threads running on other sites right now, it will be simplest if I link to them I think. You're right, I make lots of repair sections. For example the top inner edge of an old door is exactly the right profile for step repairs!
Eldest daughter Holly no longer drives a Mini - sadly we all had to accept that a non-mechanic student living 100 miles from home and clocking up 1000 miles a month needed something more reliable, so she now has a C2. She's still insured on one of them though (if her bro ever lets her drive it!)
