Hi , Pardon my ignorance but I feel I am missing out on full enjoyment of this forum because being old and not fully computer literate I don't know what the various little symbols/icons mean that bedeck the posts from other members and how do they get their apparent status? don't worry about the smilies I get that. Thanks Ian

Hiya Ian. If you are looking at the main page and there is a grey button at the side of the sections it meeans there is no new posts made but if there is a blue button flashing new it means that new posts have been made that you haven't read yet. If you go into a section and there is a folder on fire it means it's a hot topic which mean it's popular. If there's just a plain folder it means nothing new and not popular. If it has a padlock on the folder icon it means the topic has been locked and you can't post anything and finally if there is a red pin in the folder icon it means it's a sticky thread which means it is of importance and will remain in it's position on the forum.
If you want to know anymore then let us know and we will help.

So Lea, what about the Karma thing? What is that? Also [exalt] [smite] Hiya The Karma feature is simply a point system. Exalt means +1 point, Smite means - 1 pt. If you exalt a member they get a positive point but if you smite them they get a negative point against them. You vote on a member once an hour. Hope this helps. Lea
