Just wondered being paranoid ill forget to change them over, when can you display your new tax disc? Do i have to wait until the old one runs out or can i display it now and will i be breaking any laws if i do so? im assuming if you've already bought it its your property so you can display it as soon as you have it? The DVLA will not issue a new one until after the 5th of the month in which the disc expires at the end of If i can display it now it'll be easier than forgetting it on the last day of the month What does everybody else do? I always display mine as soon as I get it through the post. Providing there is no gap between the new and the old I don't think you will have any problems as like mot and insurance the road tax is on the DVLA computer base and is accessable to the police etc.
