2 cars both g reg !
1st one......mini 30!!
I bought the mini 30 as I was looking to build a fun car, I was looking at kit cars but my mate (who now lives above me!) said he had a garage full of mini bits as he had a mini as a first car that he decided to put in a ditch! so we were on the look out for a mini!!!
I found this one on ebay locally (at the local pub!) and as we were going to be redoing the whole car any way, did not seem to scary!
We are still stripping it and restoring it but all the structual weilding has been done (just front end left)
This lives happily in my fiances garage (getting marred on saterday so wife after that!! lol)
And will be this summers project.
It will be modified tastefully but still with 30 logo's etc. this is providing some bits like its 30' alloys to the next car as we are putting wider, deep dish etc on it.
It will be a weekend/trakday/show beestie!
2nd one...... I only bought this today!!!!
I've been looking for something fun to drive, I've found a sweet little mini mayfair auto, 42000 on the clock, suffering from the normal outside mini rust (all surface), but structually....dear god puts the 30 to shame! everything is shiney white paint!! no signs of welding in its life. the maximum rust i could find was one 5 p size spot in the boot, not a hole just surface rust!
all for the pricely sum of £900
we will see how happy I am with this after a few weeks driving (last drove a "classic" daily driver over 10yrs ago!!)
This will be my main driver but it will also end up getting some goodies and a new paint on the front end, oh and new grill and lights and ........
Some rust on front but all surface, scratched it and good metal underneath!!!
mmm nice and straight and no rust woooo
Found some rust, not sure if it counts on a shock tho...
