One of our BMC1100 club members is involved with the Liquid Suspension Special racers. There were three of them made for the 1964 Indianapolis 500 races. The Hydrolastic suspension was taken from the MG 1100 and incorporated into these tube chassis cars. They were driven by famous drivers such as A. J. Foyt, Joe Huffaker (builder), Pedro Rodriquez, Walt Hansgen (designer), Bob Veith, Jerry Grant, Bobby Unser, Arnie Knepper, Gary Congdon, Wally Dallenback, and Eddie Johnson. All together, these cars ran about 120 races from '64 to '72. Two more in monocoque chassis design were made in '66 but were poorer performers. Richard Morrison is our member who will be going to Goodwood. Minisniper, this is the guy that wants to buy your Minilites! Thought I posted you I asked if you could somehow get together with him since he would be just a bit too far from you and he didn't have the time due to the event he is attending. Here is his last reply. "I finally found Shropshire, Mapquest kept putting a different town. It is the wrong direction and I would not be able to go over there, so I guess I’ll have to pass on them. I certainly didn’t mean for you to get in the middle on this. Thanks for your effort. Sincerely, Rich" So he figures that Goodwood is too big a treck, I guess
