Believe it or not, this lad says this mod is working. He purchased this 1275cc Austin ADO16 automatic with this mod done to it. I'm trying to get more info. All I know right now is the filter is of racing quality. Stay tuned!

Sorry people. I haven't had the time to pursue this. Been up to my eyeballs in my daughter's wedding. Modified Mortimer into a miniature limo. Now he is temporarily dubbed Minnow. ;D ;D Took out the passenger's seat and re-carpeted the floor just for her. Added a wet bar (cooler) too. ;D ;D I will post pictures if anyone took any. I was too busy being the chauffeur.

The new owner of this car at the time of posting passed away. I am now trying to find if there was a person who purchased it from his widow yet. The other alternative is to see if I can find out who sold it to the first guy. anyway, I need to contact his widow. Sensitive issue. Don't want to look like I don't care.

a high pressure filter would be needed to do this mod, i use spin on filters for heavy duty diesel automatic's all the time at work, i dont see why this wouldn't work for an A series auto engine
how much pressure the filter see is the big question

It has been said that the 1275 auto oil pressure reaches as high as 180psi. on the filter side. the oil is then separated thru a regulating valve for normal engine use but sent directly to the torque converter and transmission.

180 is possible, however 130 is more common and then only in reverse.... ok I know reverse is required
