Hiya Shifty. In the forum statistics, there is "view the 10 most recent posts" which you can click on but if this is not what you mean I will have a look into it.

My question is related to this; is there a way that you can make it obvious where there are new posts? Most forums have an icon that changes colour when there are new posts, which makes them easy to spot; I'm a forum admin on the Mini LE Register and that's the way ours works (phpBB).
Actually, thinking about it, if you do have a problem with bandwidth I can point you in the direction of an inexpensive unlimited bandwidth hosting package that comes with phpBB - no connection, just a satisfied customer.

Im afraid we dont seem to have that facility to show the new posts since your last visit though the ones that are new appear to be in Bold Type and will say Today next to them And when you visit a particular board the new ones have a tab next to them saying New I guess whoever hosts a site there will allways be something missing, one will have something another hasnt and vise versa Though we are planning a font wesite so maybe we could link up a Portal at a later Date? All things to look into

Actually I realised after posting that the icons (the folder with the little circle) do actually change colour slightly, but they're too small to be clear. Is there any facilty for substituting those icons?

Now it's getting busier in here, is it possible to have a "next topic" button or link to make it easier to navigate through the threads quickly? Like they have on the Clubman Estate register? Going Back each time gets a bit of a bind after a while...

Hiya asahartz I'm afraid you will have to wait for Jodie to get back as she's away for a couple of days and she knows more about that side of things than I do and I'm sure she'll sort something out. Sorry I can't be of more help to you.
