Altough it is, as declared, a new item, for that i've seen during the remanufacturing of mine (1970 Innocenti minimatic), a normal wear gearbox, ie an item which wasn't destroyed or have been used beyond his normal wear point, as long as you clean every part, change all the o-rings using a well assorted major overhaul kit together with the bands and the friction plates, there is no sensible difference between a remanufactured item and a new like this, and don't forget that there is no guarantee if this has been preserved and properly lubricated in order to save all the rubber / sealing parts which represents infact the most wearable parts. The best you would have during a gearbox remanufacturing process is humilty and patience, and the proper paper manual. You also need some special tools but they are not impossible to manufacture by yourself, with the drawings found in the manual.
