Well it goes a little like this;
today we decided to change the Oil on Boris for the first time since his Gearbox Rebuild
All went Well and in comparison from last time when we changed the oil pre Gearbox Overhaul.
Last time it came out black like treacle
this time it came out kinder light brown not too removed from its original yellow colour ;D
Then the problems started
First the Oil filter bowl refused to be parted from its Mounting
But a Quick call to Mra Minis (it was martin who did the rebuild) gave us the solution
I gentle tap with a rubber mallet and off it came ;D
So we changed the filter cleaned the sump plug (which had practically no debris on it this time) and reffited it and filled Boris up with some nice fresh Valvoline VR1 Yahhhhh!!!
Then Started him up Yahhhhhhhhh ;D
Oh Nooooo
Next thing we knew oil was spurting out of the filter bowl at high pressure
We switched off the ignition within a couple of seconds so hadnt lost that much Oil
We then took off the filter for further investigation but everything looked in good order so we tried again and yet again it started spurting oil out
We rang Martin Again who thinks its the "O ring" bolt end so hes very kindly Posting some out to us ;D ;D ;D
i just hope it is that little O Ring but theres nothing else it could be?
Its not leaking at all from the other end and the only thing at the Bolt end that stops Oil escaping is that little Ring so it has to be that?
A Big Thanks to Martin from Mra Minis
Martin your a star
Ill keep everybody posted
Huggz
