bit off ruat think it might need a flitch took the scuttle ends off to find there was no inner flitch on the right hand side
but heres what it looked like wehn i got it apart from the handles cant be bothered writing ill just post the pics all the rusty panels took off put some stickers on to make it look better when it was sat on the drive so it wasent a isor as the naighburs claimed theres my estate this was just before it went in the garden then ill start uploading my recent pics one of my mates moved in down the road and wanted to help cutting up my mini lol no chance haha so sson as he was so keen to help i got him to rub down and paint the rust on my bonnet and clean all the black off it
so recntly i put it in the garden now i wanted to get down to buissness so i took the tank out also to inspect the boot two petrol cans full of manky rusty fuel wow think it needs a new arch took my seatbelts and seats out the passenger bin no wonder he had it covered up i can see the radis arm the seat base good job its getting cut off
the bin yet again think its the drivers bin this
the rear floor had cover sill on its leaking in through the door card and sitting inbetween the two floor pans heres the drivers pan just a small hole in the right hand side rear floor progress got the door cards out and the rear seats and seat belts and all that
good way to keep the rain out where the tank hole is the left hand side rear arch pic earlier on
now in minimag it says dont have your project full of all the bits nooo i dont do that i just put it in the mini estate lol bit full id say heres the mini estate A nice cleen shiny engine i show you a pic from when i got it it was horible
what i thought to be a head gasket turned out it wasent it wasent
IT WAS THE BLOODY THERMOSTAT only found this out when i toped up the water and it poured out the thermo and down the block
thats where the oil is leaking out

Its a good start for your project, good to see you getting right down to ugly bits Its terrible what the salt on the roads does to cars over there, my 68 minimatic here in aus didn't have no where near that rust, and its over 40 years old. Good luck to you though, and don't give up!
im in to far with it and wont get back no where near what i paid and i couldent take a loss that big i cant really give it up so just got to carry on no matter what and ive still got the engine to invrestigate and what kept the sibby so clean is all the dirt and grime but the rest of it has been made really bad by all the salt and wet mud stuck between the bits that made it so bad and the mini estate hasent really got rust it just been crashed really bad that bad the bulkheads twisted in one corner and the window surround is back but as there all expencive bits that can wait till ive done mine wrong pic i will put the sump one on now and heres the estate scuttle for some reason the wheel rubs fairly grotty gearbox
