I have completely removed the front subfram and im in the process of cleaning repainting. I need to replace most of the bushes as there worn/split on not there.
I know im only leaving the standard 998 auto in but i wanted to upgrade bushes where i can.
I have been reading around different sites with different opinions on what should and shouldn’t be upgraded.
Any advise or ideas on what should be used.
Thanks people

It depends what you want from your car......
One thing I have found is that replacing the rubber subframe mounts with polymounts is useful. Noise is slightly increased but offset by the more positive location of the subframe. If you recall, the Mk1/2 Minis had solid subbie mounts.
If you are going to do suspension mods or use adjustable components, you will need to look a little more carefully.

Thanks. Given me food for thought. Think I'll opt for a mixed poly and standard.

Go for someone who has a respected name. Some poly jobbies are made from....weell a material that isn't right.
I believe I got mine from Minispares but it was a long time ago now. I shall be rebushing Vanessa soon (MAJOR overhaul time) and will probably use them, I am going to be using adjustable suspension so some changes/upgrades will be needed.
One thing I would say though, is DO NOT polybush the rear subframe. Even the rally bods don't do this -they stopped wheen they kept breaking things.

Just as I thought. Almost ready to start ordering parts. All the subframe and engine mounts are shot. Glad I dropped the subframe now. Adjustable. Suspension!!! Not looking to change that much maybew later in the year. Haven't got to the rear yet but will stay away from poly. Thanks for the tip.
