Good morning all, I am thinking of replacing the original 2 bobbin dynamo regulator(1968) with an electronic one, I have found some on the internet, anyone had any experiences with this upgrade? Jock.

Heya Jock!
I've not heard about these - any links info?
In the 'good ole bad ole days' I simply converted to alternator, so I'm no help on this

I'm a bit of a computer moron and struggle with links, one site in particular was a home built using the original case fully explained by a Dr Holden, I think I will go ahead with my own version, I have become a bit obsessed with building and repairing motorcycle alternator regulators so its probably an escalation of my problem. Yes thats the one, lots of maths to match the original, my feelings are some components are a bit over rated but it should be reliable and safe to use. Jock
