Evening all. Things are slowly coming together with putting my mini on the road, new engine inane now running. I've Owned a few minis over the years and always had the same problem with the standard joining bracket at the manifold. Always need slightly smaller hands and a extra pair to hold everything in place. Any one have any good tips on better clamps or tricks on getting a good seal???

Use exhaust jointing paste and a cast clamp - slightly longer than needed bolt in one hole (so's clamp can be part assembled off the exhaust) then twist into location. wedge the pipe from underneath so you don't have to lift the weight. Beyond that it is as you say, small hands - and possibly an extra wrist joint Emma

That's a shame thought some one might have come up with a better idea.
