Hiya guys. I have the terrible habit of leaving my headlights. I did it twice today and I'm sure one of these days I will have a flat battery so I am thinking about getting a headlight buzzer so I know when I have left my lights on. Can anyone tell me where I can get one from and are they easy to fit?

I think W&P do a kit that also illuminates the switches, think its plug and play but not 100%

wood and pickett Im guessing theres probably other ways of doing it too using buzzers you can buy from maplin etc? im thinking along the lines of having it wired to the headlamp switch then having another switch like an extra courtesy light switch on the door so that when you open the door if the lights are still on the buzzer goes off Just an idea though its over to somebody who understands car electrics better?

That's almost exactly how I have done it in he past. Connect the positive terminal of the buzzer to the dash lights and the negative terminal to the door switch. The door switch earths out when the door is open and viola, the buzzer sounds. If you want it to work on the drivers door only, just put a diode in the wire to the passenger's door switch. But the diode is not worth the hassle IMHO. wood and pickett Im guessing theres probably other ways of doing it too using buzzers you can buy from maplin etc? im thinking along the lines of having it wired to the headlamp switch then having another switch like an extra courtesy light switch on the door so that when you open the door if the lights are still on the buzzer goes off Just an idea though its over to somebody who understands car electrics better?

go to a scrap yard, i no that the buzzer out of a starlet is just behind the bottom part of the dash below the right hand side of the steering wheel and its small so will fit anywhere, im sure some1 could sort out the wiring easily enough

whatever you do don't be tempted to remove the rear parking sensor buzzer from a nissan micra i used to have one and wanted to put an Axe through the buzzer as it drove me mental there again if you had one of those you would turn your lights off immediately ;D
