Greetings All. As mentioned previously , Betsy was on her way to becoming a Cooper replica. All the Cooper bits and pieces were ready to go in until...... I got an 1100 Auto . Change of plans. I have decided to make a Cooper Auto! ( Purists howl in disgust, But my tongue is very firmly in my cheek.) From my introduction , I have realized that My Auto is not alone in South Africa, but we are indeed a very unique little group. ( Thanks for the correction Hannes.) Here goes. Thanks for viewing. Andrew.

When you mention an 1100, is that also a Mini or the next bigger model. In the latter case the front subframe is different, isn't it?

This comes from the bigger Wolseley. I had to cut the front lip and the radiator side to get the motor in. I made a set of adapter plates which raises the entire motor by 3/4 inch. I'll post pics.

So Andrew, what are you going to do with the very rare Wolseley? Of all the 1100/1300 badges, it is possibly the rarest or, at least, second rarest next to the Reilly 1100.

I hope you know I meant the entire vehicle is rare and not just the badge. The entire front including bonnet and many other trim pieces are specific to the Wolseley.

Progress has been swift. Wiring loom has been redone and installed.I am very happy having used the correct loom tape. All the lights and electrics are working briliantly. Fuel tank is in with the Fuel pump pumping up a storm! Engine started and idled beautifully.

Brakes are awesome! Booster works a treat. Oil pressure sitting at 80 PSI at idle. Took her out on the road for the first time to get her exhaust fitted. Drove like a dream!! Very smooth gear changes. I honestly think that this box was way ahead of it's time.
