The two front floors are needing to be replaced but we have a local source here in Australia for hydrolastic Australian produced floor pans However the rear valence is rusted and it looks like it had a rear shunt so I'll have to fix up the rear right quarter, and am looking at importing some panels from the UK Any experiences for those of you in the UK as to who is the best to buy from?

Hi Simon, MMachine here in the UK are very good, they supply pattern panels but most of them are a very good fit. They also do some Heritage panels. If you call them speak to Doreen, she's very nice. I'm not sure about postage to Australia but I would have thought they would send stuff anywhere as long as the postage cost is covered. Maddy looks great. Looking forward to some more pics and updates

Amazing how many 68 998 autos there are, I presume there was a large importation of power units fitted to Australian bodies in Sydney in 1968?, Australian bodies are significantly different than UK ones even the upper sill profile is different plus the floor pan, I think even the later clubmans still had the hydrolastic pipe cover plates even though they were "dry". What is the body number of your car Ottos is 1750. Jock

Keep an eye out for an 1100 crank. Since you'll be getting new pistons anyway. Only you will know its in there.

Good shout there for the crank, done that with my 998 as i wanted to retain the original block/number had a bit of fettling with the gearbox casing as 3 of the 4 big end,s bolts had contact. Perhaps an earlier a series box wont have them issues as lots of 1100 were availiable then.
