Anybody know whether the a+ auto 2.7diff will fit into an a series auto? I want to rebuild my box and it has a standard 3.7 something something .... I would like a lower ratio

Pretty sure the std one is 3.27. A 2.7 would be horrible for acceleration. Just a thought.

I would like a lower ratio Yes it will fit as will our range of SC crown wheels and pinions .... As the power increases the final drive can also increase, the later models had a 2.7:1 and with 85bhp+ the performance was a lot better than with 3.27:1 or the 3.67 as the higher FD help to control wheel spin and also use the torque better. Also don't forget that the metro weighing an extra 150kg ? was fitted with a 2.76:1 that gave it a similar MPH/1000 engine revs as the ERA Mini or the metro turbo
