Hi friends.
I'm a new member on here with a 1996 SPI mini from Japan, I'm located in Kenya. was driving my Mini the other day all was well. After a day or two, started her up and no gears. I can put it in D and R but no Movement at all. I can feel abiT jerk like very minimal on engaging D but nothing on R.
Help please..!

Are you sure the level of the engine oil is right? When was the last time you topper it up? When was th last time you changed the oil? Wat oil do you use? You should use 10W40 mineral. When did you change the oil filter the last time?
When these things are right, your problem is more serious.

Would a failure with the selector cable cause this?
After reading the original post again it made me think this could be the problem.
Is it possible with the Mini up on a lift to put it in gear by hand where the cable goes in to the transmission?
