How to make a shift knob for the automatic transmission

Not having found an appropriate knob or handle for my automatic transmission, I took a good look at my dead walnut tree in the yard and decided to give it a try. Cut off a piece and went to a friend's house to use his lathe.

I hope that's made from sustainable woodland!, i,d be more concerned of woodworm tbh,lol.
