Just looking for some feedback on my 92 Rover.. I am looking to lower my suspension in the rear a couple of inches give or take. There is a fairly large gap as you can see with attached pic (grey car). I am looking at getting it more like the BMC/Leyland era blue and white mini's attached. Can I do this without a kit? I believe the suspension is stock in the car now, I have not modified it aside from converting to 10"s from 12"s. Thanks!

Can always get some Hi/Lo's. Or check and see if there are shims on the ends of the trumpets to remove.

The others don't have the gap simply because the wheels are bigger, likely 13's.

Hi los or the old fashioned way of cutting the cones down. 5:1 ratio on the back so to drop 50mm you'd need to take just 10mm off.

Hi-lo,s really the best way forward, not expensive and you have scope for fine adjustment.

92's might already have the Hi-Lo's. The MK V front clip I bought from japan had them.

Hi-lo's where never fitted as standard even to the ERA turbo... however you may well find them to be dealer fit options for the Japanese market, some things where peculiar, I did try to find them listed on my microfiche but couldn't find anything, although as a dealer fit option they wouldn't necessarily be on the MF.

I have always done this by cutting the trumpet at the rear by 10mm and if it’s too low , just add a couple of washers. It’s always worked for me.

I can be contacted on sales@ap2.world That would lower you 50mm on the rear and 30mm on the front, yes it works well enough and is totally safe as long the ends are all filed or machined flat and square.
