My '95 Rover SPI Auto has a dipstick with 2 holes at the end, instead of the words Min and Max as shown in the manual. The distance from the bottom of the rubber cap to the "Max" hole is 10 7/8" and from the cap to the "Min" hole is 11 3/8". Can someone tell me if this dipstick will give the correct readings?
Thanks!

It might not be worth posting a reply since I have a 1981 998cc but I'm at 11 1/16th at max to 11 1/2 any min. The dip stick has the metal collar and finger loop at the top and I believe I am missing a rubber O ring. The 10 7/8th inch mark is the level my car reads after sitting all night.

Can you add a photo ? I think you have the later type from a 96 onwards

I don't know if the Owner's Handbook is original to the car, but here it is. Anyone read Japanese?

I can be contacted on martin@kmprecisionengineering.com
Thought it was a Japanese spec.
You have the only type that will fit with the position of the surrounding parts. the plastic blue version may be flexible enough to fit but it will never look quite right.
