OK so when stripping the gearbox I came across this any idea of the part number? Its a round corrugated card board disk that was jammed behind the 3rd gear brake band servo. Surprising what you find! Paul.

Mmmmm, can't remember anything like that, its not the muffler bearing is it,lol. No really the only thing I can think of is, perhaps its come out of the breather flame trap, either from the tappet chest or timing cover breather, if you have one. It seems the right shape. Good luck with your strip down, hows it going. Any other issues, hard seals?.

No Idea where that cardboard has come from its about 2" dia, amazing that it has probably been in the gearbox from new and its done 60K miles!
Complete gearbox strip down and rebuild now complete. Engine re-bored and new pistons, all now reassembled and just a couple of minor bits to complete on the engine, then its back on to the body and start fitting the headlining, I need to get some felt for the roof as I did not realise that the strip of felt down the middle of the roof was put there to hold the roof bars in place and to stop them moving and rattling.
I need to modify the loom to take the immobiliser and the hidden electric fuel cut off valve. I also have a very, very, loud audio alarm unit that will be inside the car as outside no one takes any notice, however this one is so loud you cannot stand to be near it for more than a few seconds. Still not found the oil filter washer/plate no idea what has happened to that as I have all of the other bits, just found the advance diaphragm on the dizzy has gone so a few more bits from Bullmotif required.
