Yes. It's quite easy. Just reed everything that is written on these pages and you will get an idea about what you are willing to do. And, whilst you are doing this, you'll remember the sentances that you have read. And by going there you can reed what is written there. And -amazing- this time you will understand what you are reeding. If not: Ask Martin.

Hi, as Wimfournier has mentioned read what you can prior to stripdown, virtually all the literature you will need is on here. I recently rebuilt mine and can tell you as you strip it down, it will make more sense. My advice is to take photo,s and note,s as you go and in the exact order you do it. I also used various sized resealable plastic boxes (tupperware style) boxes to keep the parts in their various groups of components.you will need various (special) tool,s although some you can get around. Most parts can be got through Martin (MRA) who always seem,s availiable for advice, or Jpat,s. Also dont buy any parts until you,ve stripped down as gou might be surprised how some components have survived. Definately change all (o) rings and seals as they tend to go hard with time. Good luck and keep us all informed of your progress. Stu on here has put on a photo strip down which is a good view. Terry.

Hi Vee. As been stated before use this site for your information and always ask if you are not sure.
Martin at MRA has all the tools you will need and worth while (no connection to him). I was just stubborn and tight so I made my own front clutch tool, it took all morning to get it right so Martins offers good value for money.
The box is reasonable to work on just make sure its clean on the outside before you start work, work on a good strong bench with plenty of space lots of self seal bags from Sainsburys, permanent pen to wright on the bags, buy a cheap digital camera and keep it to hand take lots of photos (they cost nothing) before and after you take things apart.
I have just finished rebuilding the box its now mated to the engine ready to go back in the car but as the car is having a complete rebuild I am just re-doing the loom and fitting the immobiliser and fuel shut off etc. I do love Lucas the prince of darkness, how can you get away with splices in the loom just wrapped in gaffer tape, oh and no fuses for the headlamps.... I know it was cheap! Best of luck with the rebuild. Paul.

I can be contacted on martin@kmprecisionengineering.com
Fuses in the loom were seen as dangerous as they can blow......
