Does anyone know spanner required to turn the crank on a '96 1275spi? In the process of adjusting tappets but it's not possible as I can't turn the crank as I haven't got a spanner big enough. I'm thinking 36mm but would like to be sure before buying one!

I used a flat head screw driver to lever the teeth on the flywheel through the access hole on the bell housing.
This might not be a "by the book" official procedure but it worked for me and a didn't seem to damage anything.
Turning the engine over this way was a little slow and time consuming.
Also I have a 1981 998cc and don't know if the 1275 SPI Auto has the same access hole on top of the bell housing.
