Hello all,
A lot of us, including me, are curious about what can be squeezed out of our beloved engines and AP boxes... Some hints are found here and there on this forum, but why not just make an overview of what you've actually done (specs/mods/gain/...) and if it's stable/reliable over time and you're happy with what you've done ?
Thanks in advance ! Cheers

Hi, my own contribution is small, Otto is a 1968 998 minimatic(Aussie build) When unleaded petrol came along some years ago I converted the cylinder head to unleaded by having inserts put in the exhaust seats and having 0.040 skimmed off the head face to compensate for the stage 1 porting and gas flowing I did to Mr Vizards instructions. The net result the compression ratio still ended up a bit low 8.5 ? can't remember. The gearbox I left untouched as a rebuilt standard. Never done any Dyno runs so its all seat of the pants conclusions, I think the engine has lost a bit of low end torque not that the 998 has much to start with, but I would say that the top end 4000rpm+ has improved, the car winds out well in top gear and runs to 80mph with ease. The rest of the engine is stock except I found after the head work the carburettor needle very weak at low to mid throttle, I bought a new correct needle and it was the same so I modded the old one and now the fuel mixture is good through the range. Thanks in advance ! Cheers The engine itself... 318bhp has been attained, the AP unit 150 to 175bhp has been used with high torque 1480cc and 1275+ turbo will give you from 95bhp upwards... The thing is getting the parts to cope with that amount of torque/power and I know I can supply most parts but not sure who else can...
