Below is an email from a friend in Reading, Pennsylvania, USA.
Anyone seriously interested can leave notice here or PM me.
Thanks,
Mark (Ontario Canada)
Transmissions were factory upgraded between 1969 and 1971. Castings, bell cranks, valve blocks, and internals. are not all interchangeable. Some sub assemblies are, and some parts only fit some cases.
I Listed years for the car they came from. May not be original. Can get casting numbers, if wanted.
1. 1971- Unknown, valve block partially removed when I got it. I removed alternator, starter and distributor. Engine seized. Probably best for parts. Come get it.
2. 1969- Supposedly good. Never saw it run. Head off engine. Governor and cover removed but it's there. Cylinders look OK and engine turns freely. Have head with a burned exhaust valve. I'm guessing the trans just needs flushing and reinstalling installing the governor. $50 or offer.
3. 1970- Complete car. Trans was rebuilt and modded for three forward friction plates. Right suspension is flat/leaking right now, and steering rack needs a new bushing.
Headliner's out (bows in the trunk). Front section of sills replaced. No rust worth noting. Paint is weak, at best. Seats are in but need some time invested. on the covers. Dash cover off, radio not connected, and other aesthetic stuff needs addressing.
Buy the running and driving car with parts to repair suspension and rack for $1500.
If this isn't gone soon, I will finish and list it on eBay.
4. 1969- Not my car, but at my place-
Running and driving a year ago. Head removed to replace blown head gasket, but the head needs resurfacing. Trans works, but only shifts into fourth gear manually.
The unit includes the engine and transmission mounted on the original sub frame. It also includes another transmission of unknown internal condition and a rebuild kit complete with bands.
Asking $800 for the lump, extra transmission, and rebuild kit.
Owner willing to negotiate prices on any combination.
The first two power units are available to anyone who can use them. Getting $50 for both would please me, because I can probably get that in scrap.
If the money is a deal breaker, I'd rather give them to an enthusiast than scrap them.
Anyone who intends on just rolling over the car for the parts, please contact me, Mark, so I might have a chance to get the rolling shell a new home.
