Hi everybody!! I've got another question regarding my automatic '69 Austin... in the U.S. how does one go about depressurizing the hydrolastic setup and repressurizing it? I would like to remove the subframes and re spray them and do general restoration maintenance on the system. I saw that Mini Sport has the fluid and such, but I was wondering how you would even dispose of the old fluid (if need be) since it's not a typical system in most U.S. vehicles. Thanks again!

The fluid is almost exactly the same as coolant antifreeze. Dispose of it accordingly. To help you with your evacuating and pressurizing, go to this website. Austin America USA Todd will answer all your questions in the "Technical advice/Suspension, Brakes & Steering" section. Refill with 100% antifreeze (green stuff). I use the grease gun system. It is very slow (100+ pumps) but it works very well. All parts are readily available. Cheers, MARK
