It seems some cars have names and some never find one. I have a Jeep Commander that I have had for many years and it is still "the Jeep"
But a funny thing happened the first day I had my mini on the road here. It got a name. I was not there at the time, and frankly things may have turned out differently had I been there.
But, my wife was driving the car for the first time, and pulled up to a stop light. The woman in the car next to her rolled down the window to ask about the Mini (they are a rare site here in rural Florida) and as she was pulling away said "That is cute as a button"
Yes, that is right, my wife now calls my new mini "Button"
I have tried to resist it but as the saying goes "Happy wife, Happy life"
"Honey, can I drive my car for awhile. You have had it all week?"

You will find many of us have names for their cars. Mine is Mortimer. It is after a ventriloquist's dummy from many years ago. He was a goofy character and so is my Austin America (1100) at times. Of course, as you can see, the license plate is NOTAMINI. That name is now known worldwide. Sounds like you have a lovely new car there. Stay tuned to this forum and you won't go wrong. I call mine "Minimus"
Now I realize that is a character from a kids cartoon. Not sure it will stick.

My remaining mini I call OTTO because its an automatic mini, we had two other minis in the family both manuals, one a clubman gave me a lot of problems initially so it was called Gremlin, wish I had kept it nice little when sorted out. The other car was blue in colour and was just known as Blue. Jock
