I bought the front end of a ‘92 Mayfair to get the engine, gearbox and subframe. I paid £200 and sold parts to the value of £162. Today I rigged up the engine and decided to try starting it, the scrapyard I bought it from told me they had tried to start it but it wouldn’t but I was willing to take a chance. So it started and ran for a bit but not too long as it didn’t have a rad connected. My only concern is that it is still stuck in ‘N’. youtu.be/DfipT1A5YZc

Tarija and Santa Cruz, Bolivia
Good for you. My front clip cost me $2500 plus shipping. The engine needed rebuilding (50 psi compression) and the left side of the transmission was smashed.

Will the cable move out of neutral or do you mean the shafts don't turn.

Sorted now, the shifter end of the cable was gummed up with old grease.
