Having searched for this holy grail book at lots of auto jumbles and car shows over the years then online services all the usual culprits like ABE books I even contacted Haynes publishing as they bought Foulis books some years ago to see if they held copies but all to no avail. I then searched British Libraries and found there are several copies around the UK that are available for lending, using the inter Library lending service I managed to get hold of a copy.
Well not disappointed it is an interesting book and just a shame its not available any more.
If you live in the UK and want a copy to read then use your library service it may the only way you will ever see a copy unless you have lots of cash to spare. Does any one know if John Organ is still around?
There seems to be a John Organ that publishes books on steam rail journeys is this the same John Organ that wrote the transmission book?

According to this John Organ Books He is likely one and the same. I know he also wrote Robert Bentley's Repair Manual for British Cars which is in this list. Do what I did and post your request on the book search site I posted here in another thread. that is how I found my copy. Mark

And so you shouldn't unless you ask for permission from the publisher.
