Tarija and Santa Cruz, Bolivia
My transmission is working fine up through 3rd gear (SPI), but it will not go into 4th. I've had extremely little time to work on it, or even be with it, but hoping to change that. I'll be going to Tarija where I have it within the next couple of weeks.
I'm hoping to finally fix my kick-down. Adjusting the rod at the top does nothing for it, so as I understand it, the problem is at the transmission.
From different people, I've heard that in putting it together I may have put the lever on the wrong side of the foot in the transmission. So my question is, which side (above or below) does that lever need to be?
Any other suggestions would be welcome as far as checks before assembling, etc., as I have to drop the sub-frame and pull the engine to do this.
