The shaft end that goes into the governor broke on mine. I have a spare, but the body is not in great shape and I'm having a heck of a time trying to remove the two blind split pins that hold the shaft into the body... Thanks!

As far as I know there are 2 types forward clutch well maybe 3, the early ones had a smaller diameter shaft than the later ones, the early ones wear on the seal ring grooves and the seal rings break. New clutch bodies with shafts are very rare, I managed to get one from an autobox overhauler in Sydney who pulled it from an overhauled box (I should have bought the whole box) I was given two later bigger shafted clutch bodies from JPAT the last time I was in the UK, I bored out the governor casing of my early box to accept a later clutch. Whether it works or not I still don't know as I have not installed the box into a car yet. I have at least two worn out early ones an one good S/H later clutch, are you interested in any of that? I live in South Australia Jock

Jock - I managed to get the pins out of the current clutch body. It bugger up the holes a bit, so I rotated the body 180 degrees and drilled new holes and installed new pins. It looks like it it going to work out. If it explodes again, I'll be in touch. Thanks for the offer. Steve
