I have just had a hose blow off a rear hydrolastic displacer, I have read that some people have had hoses re-attached to displacers, anybody had any success with this repair ? Jock

I have replaced these hydraulic lines myself. It is actually harder to remove the displacer with hose than it is to repair it. You can also go to any hose supplier and get them to replace it. You can either do that or just get the hose with an installed line fitting. (take your old parts with you) Go to Suspension and Brakes Here you will find 4 ways to refit the lines yourself. My method is even there.

Thanks notamini, its been a while since I have been on your site there is obviously a lot more than I remember, almost spoiled for choice for a repair, I have replaced the failed displacer for the moment it with a rather "ratty" looking spare but I would prefer to get the original repaired and put back in, interesting point my originals are Australian made but the spares are British made and both have different part numbers. I'd be interested to see these part numbers and the book source of the Australian ones.
