Hi, You could have the wrong dipstick but its a bit unlikely, at the last change I put in 5.5 L and its at the correct level, you should check the level with the engine at working temperature two minuets after stopping the engine. Jock

Was it a regular change or is it possible the engine, and torque converter, were both empty? I think you are either down 1/2 L or as much as 2 L still if all were empty.

I can be contacted on martin@kmprecisionengineering.com
I would only wait 60 seconds before dipping the oil level as that would cover all variables, versions etc, have you checked for leaks ? and exactly how did you dip it before ? as the AP as a specific check procedure.

This is what the AP manual says, although I have another that says dry fill is 16 pints. 10 should do it on an oil change. Two points: hopefully you are using MA2 motorcycle oil, and hopefully it is 10W-40, no thicker. On the measuring note, although the manual says to wait 1 minute, I've found 5 minutes to be more of a stable reading. --- Tarija and Santa Cruz, Bolivia
