how to find history of my mini's colour?

hi i have a 1990 Rover Steel Grey Automatic Mini Mayfair and have seen similar colours but never the same, i have searched google, bing, classic car sites and have found nothing. i was wondering whether there is a site in which i can find the whole history of my car from factory and find out how many Minis were made in Steel Grey colour?
