Does anyone know of a source for outer sills (rocker panels/running boards as we call them in the US)? My AA has a few spots that keep reappearing after backing up with metal and using a thin coat of filler. I am not sure if sill for a Mini have the same profile....I don't need to replace the entire length. Another option would be to repaint them again maybe with some textured running board paint like some other vehicles have - and then match the color. Thanks! Steve

Not familiar with the body of the ADO 16, I have changes a couple of Mini sills and found out the hard way that British and Australian bodies are different, the sills, floorpan, and uppersill, so if you go for replacement sills be sure they are correct. There are a number of "oversills" out there which are intended to be welded over rotten originals they are usually made of thinner steel than the originals.

Steve The BMC1100 Club has replacements. There are actually 3 pieces, one on top of the next. You can find them here. The 1100 Club

I can be contacted on martin@kmprecisionengineering.com Also filler is porous and will suck up water like a sponge, what I have done in the past is paint at every opportunity, get paint on that metal, then fill and paint everytime you rub it down before another filling, this helps to seal out the moisture and worked very well for me some years ago.
